A Matter Of Perspective
by admin - 16:33 on 06 February 2014
Work on the forthcoming Spring issue of Chatterbox is under way (with a very famous person on the cover) which means that today I've had little time to satisfy the whims of cats. They're not happy about it.
The Pride doesn't understand why I'm upstairs, ignoring their peeps and squeaks, when I should be downstairs to watch their sleeping contest, throw them things to chase or fill their bowls. The tiresome trio also doesn't understand why dancing on my keyboard isn't welcome, or burrowing inside boxes or exploring the back of the desk or trying to eat the contents of my pencil mug.
I was able to take a break after their lunchtime snack when we went for a wander around the garden and down the drive where Willow decided that leaping out on Pandora from the long grass would be fun. A small spat ensured, observed with bewilderment by Maia the pacifist.
The camera does lie, for in my snap of the mayhem our black cat appears to be a timid kitten watching two grown-ups fight. Perspective is everything.
