Somewhere To Share

Anyone who fears (or hopes) that the recent spate of non-feline snaps means that I've stopped immortalising The Pride should think again. Unless Matchgirl overcomes her photophobia, The Rural Retreat's resident rodent-chasers will continue to be a leading subject of snappery.
The latest portrait of The Fearless Ones captures them at ease in the rocking chair – something we see rarely nowadays as they're less inclined to share the seat than they were in their days as kittens. This is partly because there's much less room than in the past but mainly because whoever gets there first wants to keep it for herself.

One place they will share, much to Matchgirl's discomfort, is her lap and legs, as illustrated by the snap below. As usual, she declined to be pictured. Her legs are hidden beneath the blanket. Shame.
