Breaking The Silence
by admin - 19:31 on 20 March 2014
You might think that the unprecedented blog silence during the past week means I've been busy snapping or involved in other creative arts. Sadly, no.
Apart from preparing a new website for Chatterbox (to be unveiled soon) and helping a local historian put together a slim volume on his wife's three uncles who died in World War I (to be unveiled soon) life's been very uneventful. There are not even any new portraits of The Pride.
But tomorrow's officially the first day of spring: daffodils are on the verge of erupting throughout the garden; lambs will soon be gambolling in nearby fields; the Pentax should see action again any day now.
However, as the first day of spring is forecast to feature wind, rain, plummeting temperatures and snow on high ground the snappery may not resume tomorrow. I wouldn't want to endanger my fair-weather status.
Something else on the verge of erupting, allegedly, is another Icelandic volcano. This is supposed to happen in the next few days, but if Matchgirl's half marathon jinx strikes again it will take place in June. On the bright side, it would provide some interesting holiday snaps.
