As Well As Can Be Expected

It's fortunate that City Limits isn't playing this weekend. I'd probably be OK but the after-effects of The Rogue Mackerel linger on, leaving me disinclined to get out and about and with a much-reduced appetite.

So it was ironic that, after Maia's annual vaccination and check-up this morning, Dr Vet recommended oily fish as a good treatment for one of her complaints. Mackerel or salmon was mooted; I know which way I'll vote.

Back at The Rural Retreat, a solid day in front of the Mac, only occasionally hindered by arm-dangling and keyboard-dancing cats, saw the completion (bar final tweaks) of the next edition of Black Isle Chatterbox. The cover features local potter Barbel Dister, snapped yesterday with the Pentax and the 50mm prime. We should be in the shops late next week, and still only £1.30. How can you resist?
