Damp And Discordant
by admin - 15:47 on 02 January 2015
This was the year I'd intended to restart activity with the Pentax, which of late has been even more neglected than usual. So blame me for the rain that's lashed the Highlands ever since the bells rang out to welcome 2015. It will get better, although the sleety component of some of this afternoon's weather suggests that it might get worse first.
Fortunately, the Precision's seeing lots of use – too much of which is discordant but one day City Limits will get its first proper rehearsal, at which we'll be able to reconcile the different song versions that everyone's learned. The average pub-going punter may not notice the fret discrepancies (most of them, anyway) but there's certain to be a muso or two standing at the back, arms folded and lips pursed, unimpressed by the occasional musical flailing.
We just about got away with it last night at Johnny Foxes. We're there again tonight. Come along and see what you're missing.
