Ready To Rock

The world of music has been a quiet one so far this month; that changes this week when The Strays hold their first rehearsal for many, many months. The gathering takes place tomorrow. It should have been Thursday but one of the guys declared a last-minute unavailability. Some things never change.
Another rehearsal's been pencilled in for next week. All we need now is a gig or two, especially as City Limits is off the road all of February.
Fortunately, this dismal state of affairs ends on the first day of March when we have another private gig followed later in the month by a return to Johnny Foxes. No word yet of a rehearsal. Some things never change.
The quietness has allowed me to wrap up the latest Chatterbox in record time. Printing begins on Friday (all being well) so it could be in the shops by this time next week, with ace author Christopher Brookmyre on the cover.
At least two of our exclusive stories should be of interest to the local press – maybe even the nationals – and we've a record-equalling forty-eight pages of Black Isle news, features and pictures. Just as well as our price has soared by 20p to £1.50. Times are hard.
