Two Days And Counting
by admin - 18:53 on 05 May 2015
Just two days are left until the biggest event of 2015. No, not the election. On Thursday, while voting frenzy and political argument reaches its zenith, I'll wave a fond farewell to Matchgirl and The Pride, climb aboard Mr easyJet's big orange bus and fly to Gatwick, ready for an early start and a Friday trip on Mr Monarch's bigger purple bus to Mahon, sun-kissed capital of the Mediterranean island of Menorca where PhotoActive Philip's penultimate snappery fiesta will take place.
The timing is not good. On my return there'll be much work to do on the next edition of Chatterbox if it's to hit the streets on June 1, and Bassman Books is currently involved with three top secret publications, out later this year, plus my own release on Kindle. Busy days.
Yesterday's fine weather didn't help, leaving me with no excuse not to abandon the Mac and mow the lawn before today's (correctly forecast) downpour made it impossible.
But I'm not complaining. Seven days of sun and snappery will be worth it, plus the bonus of catching up with old friends. I hope your packing's sorted out now, Cathy.
I did manage one recent non-feline snap – an often-overlooked female chaffinch.
