Snappery And Gluttony
by admin - 21:29 on 09 May 2015
Life is tough in Menorca. This morning we were confronted with a huge breakfast buffet; at lunchtime a dozen people sat down to a table groaning with enough tapas and Cava for twenty people, plus sweets; in the evening the buffet was equally extensive. The day was so exhausting I had to forgo pudding.
Despite the culinary marathon, some snappery took place, first at the village of Alcaufar, then at the trotting races where we attempted panning shots and, depending on camera settings, either froze the action or captured some exciting motion blur. I succeeded in the first and failed miserably at the second.
Examination of the snaps revealed that my spring clean of the Pentax before departure had also failed miserably, the sensor being covered in dust. I'll find out tomorrow whether another attempt at cleaning, carried out tonight, has succeeded.
A few snaps from Day 1:
Cathy, happy at the thought of food, and a boat at Alcaufar.
On the track and at the stables at Menorca's big trotting day.
