Saving Willow's Toes
by admin - 20:12 on 25 June 2015
Another dull, damp day and the grass grows longer in The Rural Retreat's lawn. Next week's forecast heatwave can't arrive a moment too soon, although then it will probably be too hot to push around a lawnmower.
Perfect weather this week would be wasted anyway. Following work on my Kindle bestseller, The Gift, (four sales already!) I'm now deep into production of a brochure for a birdwatching business that runs tours around the world but, happily for me, is based five minutes down the road. I feel a Chatterbox feature coming on.
Despite that, I found time for a stroll with The Pride and the Pentax. More dodgy low-level snaps resulted, plus one that made it all worthwhile. I'd cut off Willow's toes in this picture (the drawback of not being able to use the viewfinder). The next frame was better-composed but not as good a pose so, with some Photoshop magic, I transferred the complete toes to the first snap. Look carefully and you might see the join.
The black blob lurking in the background is Maia, staying well away from the camera. I blame Matchgirl.
