All Change And No Change

by admin - 23:24 on 16 August 2015

It's been a busy few days, but not because I've been slaving away at the Mac to produce the next edition of Chatterbox (which I'll have to do next week). Richard the Houseguest has enjoyed our hospitality, which meant Kawasaki San was out and about (to Grantown and Loch Ness) and much dining out has taken place. Happy days.

But some things don't change – The Curse of The Room grows more and more malevolent. Just a week after City Limits missed its opportunity to play the Inverness venue, The Strays' August gig there was scratched when the venue learned it had double booked us with a band from Orkney. And today, singer Gregor realised that he has a wedding to attend on the date of the October gig. City Limits could stand in but no chickens are being counted.

Other exciting news involves The Bumper Book of Black Isle Snappery (aka Eilean Dubh – The Black Isle) which is now just one copy shy of 2,500 sales. If you're the lucky person who buys the golden copy we'll even sign it for you.

Less exciting is the sales figure for The Gift, which has yet to push past the teens. Maybe the horror film of the same name currently in cinemas is putting off would-be readers.

Finally, to bring everything up to date, the Pentax has been busy lately, although cats are still disproportionately represented. Some things don't change.
