Time For A Snack
by Russell Turner - 20:35 on 10 June 2016
Fledglings are a rare sight in The Rural Retreat's garden at the moment – the Highlands are always a week or so behind the rest of the UK – but an exception is young woodpeckers, who've been seen both alone and with mum.
These snaps were taken tonight, in failing light after a dull day (and through a dirty window), but they capture some of the colour of new life. There should be more to come.
