The End Is Nigh

Eilean Dubh – aka The Bumper Book of Black Isle Snappery – first saw the light of day in 2011 when Andrew, James and I put together a book on Blurb just for ourselves. Five years and several printings later, we've sold almost 2,600 copies.
Sooner or later, everything ends. We have just twenty-four copies left, including some shop-soiled ones, and no plans to print more because the rate of sales has become a trickle. Although it will be a sad day when Eilean Dubh becomes just another out-of-print book, it was good while it lasted.
The silver lining is that Bassman Books went on to publish several more titles, totalling around 6,000 sales (so far), and more are to come (but for the moment their subjects and authors must remain secret). Four-figure sales may not seem much when put against the squillions sold by the likes of JK Rowling and John Grisham. However, in the world of self-publishing – which is what I really offer – that's a huge achievement.
Maybe you have a book waiting to find readers? Let me know. And if you want one of the last copies of Eilean Dubh – there are even a few signed ones – you can buy it here. But don't hang about – you'll be sorry if you miss your chance.
