One Eye On The Future
by Russell Turner - 18:26 on 13 April 2017
Ten months after being referred to Raigmore Hospital by Specsavers, today I finally received an examination which revealed that the optician was right in fearing that not all was well with my left eye. The diagnosis is a mild glaucoma.
The good news is that I won’t have to notify the DVLA, as the right eye is fine, and that some daily eye drops should halt or slow any further deterioration.
Matchgirl the Hypochondriac will do the worrying for me. As the problem can’t be reversed, and there’s nothing I can do except use the eye drops, I’ll just live with it. I don’t feel debilitated so life goes on.
More specifically, life goes on tonight at Johnny Foxes where City Limits will thrill the Inverness crowds, then again on Sunday. And today we received an enquiry about a wedding in 2019 and reached our 400th Facebook like.
The future looks promising – let’s hope I’ll still be able to see it.
