Back In The Big City

Cars were left behind today (apart from a lift into town courtesy of Matchgirl) in favour of trains – specifically the ones to Perth and Glasgow in which I was joined by Mrs Tweedy ahead of tonight’s gig by ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett at the Royal Concert Hall.
The trip was as good as could be hoped for and the Artto Hotel much better than my last choice of Glaswegian accommodation. The forthcoming curry in the attached restaurant will be a bonus.
Rock news closer to home involves a plea for City Limits to replace a band that’s pulled out of a wedding on June 17. Jenna is keen, despite being forecast to become a mother again three days earlier. What a trouper. However, enquiries are being made into whether the wedding party would be happy with a three-piece band if Jenna’s not in a fit state to take part.
City Limits at Foxes last Saturday – Jenna's last gig (in theory) before the birth. It's always a good crowd.
