Back To Black

More heat – far too much for lawnmowing – so today featured housework and Grandson of Seat’s first trip to the car wash at Jemimaville. Just like black cats and black motorbikes, black cars show up every speck of dirt, although in this case pollen was the main culprit, leaving GOS almost as yellow as Matchgirl’s motor.
The result of my efforts was a car restored to black but covered in watery streaks. Regular polishing may be the answer. It may also disguise the scuff mark on the bonnet that the work’s uncovered. I give it six weeks.
GOS will get his first long run tomorrow when City Limits Lite takes two cars to Skye for a gig at King Haakon’s in Kyleakin, braving downpours and thunderstorms along the way. He’d better get used to it. His V5C arrived today, from which I learned that his previous life was in Leicester.
Also braving inclement weather will be Matchgirl, home from Shetland today, just in time to journey to Edinburgh tomorrow where she’ll take part in the half marathon on Sunday. Some people are all go.
