Lots Of Gear, No Idea

by Russell Turner - 17:19 on 09 October 2017

No official running today, or even brisk walking, so after some time spent working on another forthcoming Bassman Book, scheduled to appear next year, I was able to peruse the web link left by Matchgirl that led me into the wonderful world of running gear.

So much to choose from, and so little apparent difference between budget and big money clothing. Some of the labels must be the Armani and Hugo Boss of the running world, which I certainly don’t need. The trouble is, some may be the equivalent of Primark. Matchgirl wouldn’t be impressed.

And with a whole running wardrobe to fill there’ll be many pitfalls ahead. “Get a wicking vest,” she told me. But which one? How many? What kind of jacket? What kind of shorts? Or should I go for those unbelievably skin-tight half-tights? Or even the full ones?

Maybe it’s safer to wait for her return from the land of the Vikings.

I forgot about marathons for a while and took the Pentax into the garden today to capture the fairy’s house that sprang up yesterday (more commonly known as a fly agaric toadstool). Another had appeared, and nearby were the mangled remains of a third. They’re hallucinogenic. This could explain a lot about Willow.
