Not In The Running

It’s bad news – Chatterbox didn’t make the grade this time. The shortlists for the annual Highlands and Islands Press Awards have been announced with the Black Isle’s favourite magazine missing from the Community Newspaper category. We were there for the last two years, and won it once, so it’s only fair we give someone else a chance.

Anyway, I couldn’t have attended the Press Ball because that night Matchgirl and I will be watching Strictly Live in Glasgow. I know which I prefer. And there’s still a chance of awards glory later in February when City Limits keeps its fingers crossed at the Scottish Wedding Awards.

There’s been no running today – the next session is tomorrow – but marathon-related activity continues. One of my charities, Animals Asia, has been in touch to ask for a few personal details for social media posts and requested a photo of me in the special running vest that’s on its way. What a star.
