A Chilly Run
by Russell Turner - 20:57 on 07 February 2018
This morning’s run was the coldest one yet. Not crisp and frosty, just perishing cold and with occasional freezing wind. Not fun. The woolly hat came out for the first time to back up gloves and a jacket. They were all needed. Despite all that, I completed four miles in only slightly more time than last Wednesday.
I didn’t even have any fine Highland views to keep me entertained. I stuck to sheltered inland routes rather than suffer chill winds blowing off the Cromarty Firth on to the coast road.
If the weather’s not improved by Monday, when I have a 1:40-2hr 10-12-mile run scheduled, I’ll be able to build some of the character that Matchgirl claims will help me on The Big Day. Wish me luck.
