A Lazy Day Indoors
by Russell Turner - 19:01 on 11 February 2018
Today should have been a day spent making progress with the next Chatterbox. Instead, lethargy overtook me and time’s been filled with eating junk (not good) and for the umpteenth time re-reading Terry Pratchett (never a waste of effort).
The morning was another deceptive one: sunny with an icy wind. Although I considered bringing forward my long run I decided to stick to the training programme, in which it’s scheduled for tomorrow. This may have been a mistake. The forecast has improved in the last couple of days by reducing the predicted wind speed, if not the sub-zero chill – a dusting of snow this afternoon might leave an interesting running surface. How my consumption of junk will affect my athletic prowess remains to be seen.
Feline forays into the outside world have been brief; much use has been made of comfy baskets and warm shelves, especially by Maia, our most home-loving cat. Her latest close-up says it all.
