Avoiding The Spectators

Badgers clearly have a lot in common with pine martens. Our stripy visitor has been regular for the past few nights, dropping by 11-11.30pm and again around 2am, so last night I kept watch. And saw nothing.
This morning the Bushnell confirmed that he’d missed his evening appointment altogether (unless he was stealthy enough not to trigger the camera) but had kept his 2am one. How did he know? I’ll try again tonight.
Athletic Update: Team Turner at t’ Yorkshire Marathon has doubled in size with the welcome news that Cathy the Duathlonist and UltraPaul have both signed up, swayed by the knowledge that less than 100 places were left and fearful of missing the fun. Cathy currently carries an injury but can still run faster than me so she should be fine by October.
In the meantime, she and Matchgirl will shortly embark on an exhaustive search for the perfect four-berth weekend self-catering flat. I’m staying out of it; I suspect that Paul will too.
Last night’s snap of the ninja badger.
