Kinky Boots

An excited text sent to me today at my desk in the bowels of GnoME HQ announced that Matchgirl had begun the task of turning her gift from the Inland Revenue into footwear.
Friends all over the country are desperate to see this acme of the cobbler's art, I've been informed, so here's a photo, snatched from the Schuh website, to satisfy their curiosity. The footwear in question is purple leather Whimsical Miaow Ankle Boots. Feel free to comment on their beauty. Matchgirl will be delighted.
What she doesn't have, of course, is a thing to wear with them. I suspect that the tax windfall won't last another shopping trip.
Pine Marten Update: Mr Marten (if it is he) found his way back to The Nutella Tree yesterday evening. This morning it had been licked as clean as the gate. Photo prospects, come the lighter nights, are good. It will be interesting to see how much he's grown since this picture was taken last year.
