A Forlorn Feline
by admin - 19:26 on 30 March 2010
Yesterday's brief spat with Romeo seems to have damaged the confidence of our poor puss. Bess was in and out a few times overnight – and returned in a very hurried manner on one occasion – but since I came home from GnoME HQ today she's shown little interest in the great outdoors.
The dismal weather offers no encouragement. Unlike other parts of Scotland, the snow has yet to arrive, but the forecast is quite clear that it will, although we could deduce that for ourselves from the evidence of freezing rain and horizontal gales.
So the forlorn feline has done little except mooch about and make use of the baskets and mats scattered around the cottage for her convenience. Her appetite is unimpaired, which suggests that the trauma may not have scarred her too deeply.
Of course, she may just be missing Matchgirl who abandoned both of us this morning to take another business trip, this time overnight in London. The jet-setter.
