Two Thousand And Counting

by admin - 20:45 on 04 December 2012

With one mighty bound, The Bumper Book of Black Isle Snappery has leapt past two thousand sales. An order today from Waterstone's in Inverness, which is clearly anticipating a Christmas rush, took us beyond our second major milestone.

And there was a bonus – an order for A Cat Called Tess put sales past two hundred; this may seem small beer in comparison but it's still moving steadily. Our much-missed moggy would be proud (if she cared, which – of course – she wouldn't).

The next milestones are 2,500 Bumper Books and three hundred Tesses. John Grisham and JK Rowling have nothing to worry about.

Moggy Update: A few days ago, Maia discovered one of the cat baskets, close to a radiator. She liked it – so much that Willow took an interest. Tonight, our smallest kitten pushed the big black cat out of the basket and took it for herself. The bully. Pandora stayed in the rocking chair, near the open fire, which she prefers for her solo snoozes; Maia made do with Matchgirl's lap. Everyone is finding their place for winter.

Band Update: After Monday's emergency rehearsal, Strawdogs are all set for our first gig with Michael in charge of the microphone. The future looks promising.
