Famous For Fifteen Minutes

Suddenly I've gone viral, so it's a shame I've nothing to show for it.
To be honest, it's not quite viral but the closest I'm ever likely to get. One of the crested tits I snapped yesterday and put on Flickr was picked up by the BBC Winterwatch group, made its Picture of the Day and featured on its website, Facebook page and Twitter feed. The number of views climbed rapidly until, within a few hours, it had become my most-viewed Flickr snap.
Views continued to grow today, assisted by a place on Flickr's Explore page. At the time of writing, my crestie's gained 1,786 views and been favourited sixty-seven times.
Yesterday's star snap, viewed by thousands (almost)...
Being an astute businessman I quickly added a picture caption that included my website address (and Squirrel James's as he'd introduced me to the cresties) then sat back and waited for the hit counter to spin.
I waited in vain. The number of crestie viewers who've clicked through to this site is in single figures, and none of those have bought any books. My hopes of a sales surge on the back of the publicity have been dashed. Maybe tomorrow.
The snaptastic start to the year has inspired me to follow in the footsteps of Matchgirl, who's signed up to do the Janathon, in which participants promise to do some kind of exercise every day then blog about it. Walking to the fridge doesn't count, apparently.
So I'll attempt to take a decent snap every day in January; if this turns into a 365 project, so much the better. Today's snap (you can decide if it's decent) features another bird. There will be other subjects.
...And today's, so far viewed by nobody

Well done on your Crested Tit Photo, I am sooooo jealous and impressed. What a start to the year for you. All you have to do now is find something to follow it up with, good luck...
