A busy morning, a lazy midday and chauffeur duties in the afternoon, when Matchgirl went to the airport preparatory for another jolly in Shetland, left little time for snappery today.
I took the tripod with us, in the hope of capturing a night-time scene or two on the way home, but was dissuaded by the icy wind. I know.
So back at The Rural Retreat I played some more with the Chinon lens. The result may not be exciting (although it might win praise in a trendy art gallery) but is a fine demonstration of how shallow a depth of field is possible.
Don't fret – I'll probably return to the Pentax lenses tomorrow.
RSPB Update: Congratulations to Soo whose snap of a red squirrel hiding from Tony was published in the latest edition of Birds, the RSPB magazine. I told you it was a good one.
