The Squeaking At The Door
by admin - 22:25 on 16 January 2013
Pandora must know that something's up. Despite sub-zero temperatures, today she spent as much time as possible outside – her last day before she and her sister go under the knife at Dr Death's. Tomorrow they'll be spayed, chipped and returned to The Rural Retreat as two doped-up kittens condemned to a short-term future dressed in plastic collars.
This will be of particular concern to Pandora who displays her indignation when not allowed out after dark by climbing the coats hanging on the back of the door while squeaking pathetically. Where she hopes to go from there I don't know.
Maia can't laugh. A date has been set for her return to Dr Supervet's in Glasgow where she'll take an allergy test. What happens next depends on how many bumps she develops.
Matchgirl returned from Shetland today, grumbling about the snow set to cover most of the UK on Friday: the snowfield is forecast to stop at the Great Glen, so she's not happy.
I should be hoping for snow so I can capture snaps of frolicking squirrels, but whether I'd brave the conditions is debateable as I was too lazy to leave the cottage today, apart from the trip to Inverness to collect Matchgirl.
That's why today's Snapathon shot was taken through the living room window.
