Bad Kittens And The Banker
by admin - 16:49 on 26 January 2013
Another Saturday, another market. I'd expected North Kessock's at best to be as poor as the previous two weeks' commercial efforts but I amassed a small profit – most of which was blown on bread from the Strathpeffer Artisans and Indian snacks from Marie Faulke. We stallholders must stick together.
Back home I was regaled by Matchgirl with more tales of bad kittens. The Fearless Ones, despite their stitches, are so feisty at the moment that she had to threaten hyperactive moggies with their bonnets to calm them down. I suspect that cabin fever is Pandora's problem; Willow's just mad and Maia permanently hungry.
Our black cat, formerly threadbare and scabby, now has a glossy coat and a prosperous body on which to wear it. I suggested we rename her The Banker, partly because Matchgirl has a regrettable weakness for Deal Or No Deal (I leave the room) but mainly because with little encouragement Maia could become a fat cat. My idea was rejected.
Some hurried snappery of a mossy wall was carried out this afternoon. The idea was sound but the execution poor. When I try again tomorrow I'll make use of my tripod.
