A Touch Of Tainted Love
by admin - 22:43 on 31 January 2013
The last day of January. I could have tried to finish the Snapathon with a flourish but Chatterbox duties got in the way. That's my excuse, anyway, and nothing at all to do with being lazy.
The evening was busy too with Strawdogs' penultimate rehearsal before our charity gig at the Chieftain Hotel in Inverness next weekend. Notable for his absence was new singer Greg, who's been practising so hard at home he's strained his voice. A lesson learned. Fortunately he has a week to recover before his last rehearsal.
Tonight's session featured our first crack at a new song. I never thought I'd find myself playing an old Soft Cell track, but our version owes more to The Living End than Leeds' finest synth duo.
I do have one snap today, taken a few days ago and stolen from the BBC website to illustrate Matchgirl's snowless frustration. The Black Isle, for the geographically incompetent, is part of the grey bit surrounded by white near the top.
