A Legal Warning
by admin - 13:59 on 06 March 2013
My first reaction on receiving an unexpected communication from Dingwall Sheriff Court was to wonder what I'd done wrong.
Nothing, as it turned out – I was simply being warned that my name is on a list of potential jurors for an as yet undecided date.
This is most exciting. As an avid viewer of Crown Court, Perry Mason and Kavanagh QC (amongst others) I've always wanted to find out what the reality is like. Most likely it would be underwhelming – I attended enough court hearings in my days as a reporter to realise that most cases fail to make the Hollywood grade – but you never know.
My fear is that I'll be called up for the week when Marathon Matchgirl and I plan to be away on a jaunt culminating in her Big Day. Holidays can be a get-out if they're too expensive to cancel but I suspect it would need to be a safari or round-world cruise to fall into that category. Time will tell.
As promised, here are the last three squirrel snaps saved following my morning in Squirrel James' secret hide yesterday. Anyone who wants to try it for themselves should go to his website for information about his workshops, as many satisfied customers have already done. Don't forget your bean bag.
