A Weeping Willow
by admin - 16:16 on 13 July 2013
The smaller, dafter half of The Fearless Ones is back in the wars. Seemingly within the space of half an hour, one of the wounds inflicted by Mystery Moggy turned disgustingly septic yesterday evening, causing Willow to lick off the fur around it in a bid to clean up the mess. (I hope you're not having your tea while reading.)
She appeared as perky as normal, and in no pain, but Matchgirl was taking no chances – this morning, the patient, now wearing The Cone Of Shame, was bundled into her carrier and taken to visit Dr Locum.
He was very taken aback by her condition. Without the antibiotics our puss might have died, he said, so Matchgirl's prompt action following Mystery Moggy's evil act made all the difference.
No more treatment is necessary, as the earlier injection from The Syringe That Cures Everything is still doing its work, but the wound site has been shaved so we (ie Matchgirl) can keep it clean. The cone remains in place so Willow can't get at it. A full recovery is expected.
I've no new snaps of her so here's a recent one of her sister.
Civic Duty Update: My jury citation arrived today, instructing me to report to Dingwall Sheriff Court on August 28. Very exciting.
