A Monochrome Mood
by admin - 17:38 on 04 August 2013
August, and this morning (whisper it) there was an almost autumnal edge to the weather. Fortunately, the temperature rose in the afternoon – so much so that The Pride spent as much time as possible in shade when it went for a wander along the lane to sniff the verges and chase the butterflies that continue to elude the Pentax.
However, the sky was still filled with clouds, which left me in the mood to try to capture some atmospheric black and white snaps.
Only one survived quality control, and I was in two minds about keeping that – monochrome snappery is not my forte – but I'll persevere as it's a skill I'd like to acquire.
The eagle-eyed will have noticed the Shop Scotland logo beneath the menu column. This is a portal I've signed up to in an effort to put my snappery and books before a wider audience. (I'd have gone in as a publisher but they don't have a literary category and have no plans to rectify that. The Philistines.)
Take a look and see what else is on offer from around the country. Such creativity.
