Cabin Fever

There's been a great deal of bad temper in The Rural Retreat today: raised voices, rude words, even some scuffles and the occasional punch.
Thankfully, none of this involves Matchgirl and me.
The major culprit is Maia, especially when her stomach tells her it's time to eat (which is most of the time). Pandora and Willow have suffered equally from hisses and a meaty right hook.
It's not helped that rain kept them inside most of the day, which in turn hasn't helped me produce the latest edition of Chatterbox. The Pride is usually happy to spend indoor time in the living room, but when I'm busy in the upstairs office and Matchgirl's away it's inevitable that eventually I'll be surrounded by dozing cats – particularly Willow, whose favourite position is draped over my left arm.
This has serious implications for efficient use of the Mac. Despite that, progress is steady; the Black Isle's top read is on target for September publication.
My dedication means I've left the Retreat only once today, on a brief sortie to refill the bird feeders, so there's been no time for snappery. However, I do have a snap taken yesterday when Pandora was having fun in her personal play-pipe. Maybe Maia's just jealous.
