Martens At The Double

It's not long until the next edition of Chatterbox is due to hit the mean streets of the Black Isle, so I should have been hard at work today. But there's not been pine marten news for a while...
Don't get excited – there are no new Pentax snaps, and won't be until April at least – but on checking the Bushnell this morning I was delighted to find digital proof of a double visitation. At four-thirty this morning a pair of hungry martens was videoed on and around the garden gate, making the most of nuts, raisins and Nutella.
Unfortunately, Mystery Moggy had been there earlier in the night, and a lone marten after that, so there wasn't as much as there could have been for the (I presume) young siblings. All being well we'll see them again soon.
In the meantime, instead of Chatterboxing, I spent a leisurely afternoon assembling a brief video featuring some of last night's footage and more from earlier in the year that I'd not previously made public. Enjoy.
