Portraits And Pusses

by Russell Turner - 15:19 on 16 September 2015

Lately I've been a bit slack with the blog, and regular readers (if there are any) will be missing their feline fix, so I remedy that today with some individual portraits snapped in the last couple of days plus one of The Pride doing what it does best. That, of course, is eating. Sleeping comes a close second.

Maia lets the side down when it comes to hunting but even she's happy to participate when the action takes place indoors, in pursuit of an escaped rodent presumably brought in by Willow. Little running was involved however – mostly patient waiting by three hunters who'd surrounded the sofa, or who took turns to keep an eye on it whilst fellow Pride members carried out other tasks.

The stakeout lasted two days (during which I attempted without success to apprehend the fleeing rodent). The climax came overnight, for this morning I found an ex-mouse on the carpet, studiously ignored by cats, any one of which may have delivered the coup de grace. No-one was giving anything away.

Pandora 59     Willow 56

Pandora looks cool; Willow looks small

Maia 21     The Pride 11

Maia looks soulful for her close-up; The Pride shares some scraps
