Taking No Chances

Proof today that Matchgirl is the man in this household: I wimped out of the planned run. Rain, wind and horizontal sleet were too much to face. Anyway, I wouldn’t want to damage myself again after recovering from the last injury, would I? Even Matchgirl might have had second thoughts about being battered by an icy gale for an hour.
Confirmation of the weather’s awfulness was provided by three cats who’ve spent almost every minute of the day asleep apart from food breaks and the briefest of outdoor forays.
The plan now is to run tomorrow; for how long remains to be seen. The 90-minute session is still pencilled in for Friday.
I used my unexpected free time to browse accommodation in Newcastle, York and Glasgow for forthcoming gig trips, reaching decisions within an hour. Matchgirl would have agonised for days, but she likes to consider all the angles. It must be a man thing.
