Action in Avoch
by admin - 18:16 on 16 April 2010
A year ago the Pentax saw action in Namibia. Today it captured scenes in Avoch. That's a bit of a come down.
However, there's worse places to be that Avoch (pronounced Och) on the Black Isle on a sunny spring morning, especially when for most people it's just another working day. I still appreciate my three-day week.
My plan was to snap some splendid images for the proposed Black Isle photo book; it soon became clear that even a dot on the map like Avoch offers a bewildering number of photo opportunities. More planning and more time would have made the visit more fruitful. Another lesson learned.
No award-winning snappery took place but the seeds of future ideas were planted.
Matchgirl chose to stay indoors and recover from the hectic schedule that's kept her busy all week. Tonight we'll relax with pizza and South African wine, in honour of our first-night meal in The Elegant Guest House, Windhoek. I wonder where we'll be this time next year?
