Summer Pursuits
by admin - 22:17 on 11 July 2010
The weekend's sunshine has been broken up by occasional torrents of rain, so outdoor pursuits have not attracted a wuss with a camera that's not waterproof. The highlight was seeing Shrek 4 in Inverness, which despite mixed reviews was worth the trip.
The Pentax made it into the garden a couple of times. There are some fantastic harebells out but as they're moved by the slightest breeze there was no chance of a close-up in the current windy weather.
I settled for some soft focus bees taking care of buzzness in pastel-coloured wildflowers.
Our marten menagerie continues to be active, although not in the best light. Master Marten paid a call tonight just after 8.30, followed fifty minutes later by Miss Marten. Sorties into The Nutella Tree still take place after dark, which is most frustrating.
Neither of tonight's snaps (both of Master Marten) fall into the higher quality category I set myself a few days ago but I couldn't resist keeping them. He's a supple fellow.
