The Bumper Books of Black Isle Snappery are here!
To be accurate, they're in Norman's inky lair in Dingwall, where they were delivered this morning by the extremely tight-fisted binders. Norman and co supplied them with enough pages and covers to make more than two hundred copies, but we'd asked for two hundred and that's what we got. Exactly. The cheapskates.
Norman says the book looks great – he would do, of course – he's even asked to buy a couple. Its authors will have to wait until Friday to see for themselves. Marten James and Andrew are both available and eager to collect the books tomorrow, but I'll be trapped inside GNoME HQ.
This is tough on James, who's more excited than a five-year-old two nights before Christmas. However, as we agreed that we'd all collect the books together he'll have to wait.
So on Saturday some lucky retail outlets could take delivery of their orders and the first postal packages could be on their way. Very exciting.
Sigh, maybe tomorrow.
