Lethargy and Fakery
by admin - 17:34 on 27 February 2011
Bess was given the opportunity today for another long-distance stroll, but she turned it down. Perhaps she's still not recovered from yesterday's exertions, or maybe the icy wind that blew out of a deceptively blur sky deterred her.
Whatever the reason, she ventured no further than the end of the drive, and that grudgingly, so the snap below is one taken yesterday at the end of her yomp through the woods. A drink from the burn that's channelled alongside the lane is a refreshing change from her bowl indoors.
Bess (she's the one above) enjoys her al fresco drink and dreams of being a big cat
The woodpeckers continue to make regular visits to the garden but still favour the apple tree, which is not much use for snappery. One did come a little closer yesterday, although not for long enough for me to capture a decent portrait. The time will come.
Today's only surviving snap was kept for experimental purposes and subjected to extensive use of Photoshop's blur tool. The result's a bit obvious in places but I learned another handy skill.
