Master Marten Wins Bronze
by admin - 23:10 on 17 March 2011
The rumour was true – The Bumper Book of Black Isle Snappery arrived in Dingwall today and Norman says it looks good. But he said that last time.
We'll find out for certain tomorrow morning when we see the books ourselves. If all goes well, the afternoon will find us driving around the Black Isle to deliver stock to our fortunate retailers. If it doesn't, Norman and Co will be in hiding from Marten James.
He's already suffered frustration, for in tonight's Cromarty Camera Club natural history competition he took third and second places with a marten and a squirrel but not first, which was stolen by a red-legged grouse.
I climbed on to the metaphorical podium for the first time this season by sharing his third place, with the assistance of Master Marten. What a star.

The winner was a good choice though. Maybe next year?
