Pretty In Pink

Matchgirl is taking her marathon preparations seriously. Today she bought a new winter-proof running jacket (shocking pink with black piping), new running shirt (black with pink highlights) and new running shoes (pink, silver and white).
If Mulberry fail to sponsor her London Marathon efforts she's sure to win support from Mattel, the makers of Barbie.
While we were in Inverness I took the opportunity to collect some paperwork from Waterstone's, who have requested even more copies of The Bumper Book of Black Isle Snappery to satisfy demand by eager festive shoppers. I felt quite smug about our sales figures (perilously close to 1,300) until I saw the huge pile of Inverness Remembered, Volume 7 that dominated one wall. There must have been at least a thousand on offer. That put our sales in perspective.
But Avoch Post Office has taken another ten copies so the future continues to look rosy.
Band Update: Guitarist Michael has calmed down after his weekend tantrum (his description) and is back in the band. And we might have a gig on December 29. If it doesn't snow.
